Thanks for sharing this beautiful image of hope and equality with us! How wonderful to have a mother and daughter working together for Global Spiritual Health and Unity. Thanks too Mary for all YOUR work this past year to help generate in each of us our own spiritual and creative health. I wish you continued success in the new year with all you are doing. Keep putting your energy out there because the world needs it :-)

Arlene's Global Art project acrylic painting is beautiful, the colors burst off the canvas energetically. The poem made me cry -- the recipe ingredients are so important, we all need to remember to use them.
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR OPEN STUDIO ARLENE!

WOW!!!***Beautiful, dramatic--a real work of art, Mary. Very impressive. It was as if you knew her, in real life! Very powerful image. Strong lines forming a whole human being. Encompassing her whole heart and soul!!! Very Beautiful, Mary. Keep it coming. I'd love to see more of the same.

Mary,
Wow. Thanks for sharing your charcoal self-portrait and the story of your life during that time. Drawing or even doing anything just after your dear brother's death must have been painful. Maybe that's why your drawing seems so real. Your eyes, your brows and your hat are so full of soul. To me it seems like the you in your self-portrait might breakout in song, singing something like "nobody knows the troubles I've seen..." -- or other "spiritual" song that slaves working in the fields used to sing.
Thanks for inspiring me again.
Love,
Beth

I have been meaning to post my response to this latest addition to the
gallery! I was tickled to open this and see Mary and her mom, and me and my
mom!! We had great fun that day too and I have hung my collage creation, which
ended up looking like a warrior shield, over my computer in my creative corner.
My mom loved her collage too and continues to create collages when she feels a
creative urge other than writing poetry. She also enjoyed spending time with
Mary and Lois and getting to know Lois better. Love, Allison

Mary I love the idea of a mom and daughter session. It could be a father/
son, or any other mixture but the thought of that special bonding that takes
place is what's important. I've never done art with my Mom, but your photo remind
me of the Musical jam sessions at home. My mom would grab the fork and a grater,
my brother the pot covers, my sister the water glasses filled at different
levels, my Dad had the maracas and sang and I played the clarinet. Those days
live in my mind forever. Tilda

Father, mother, and child --- happiness personified. Loving, warm glow
flowing all around them. Warmth and love are essential to the feelings of love
radiating from heartfelt goodness. You can feel all this from the colors you
chose. Nod, Dod, and Dixon could be all of us or each and every one of us from
the way you drew them. Lovely, Mary.

Dear Mary,
I just opened "Lyrical Dance to Your Soul" and am awestruck!
This piece looks so strong and full of movement and energy. Its very Van
Gogh-like.
It seems to be a departure from the more subtle fluidity of your earlier work.
Wow, are you feeling change in your life? It looks like it!
Its really beautiful. Is it done in paint?
Congratulations, looks like that was a breakthrough day.

Mary,
I see what you mean about how it might be exciting yet a little terrifying at
the same time. Accepting that inspiration from the heavens, like you talked
about in your writing, could feel that way. Especially when it comes out in
energetic wings of fire. Your Soul created a colorful lyrical dance!

Hi Mary,
Beth's Global Art piece gives me the chills it's so complete and powerful.
Beth's piece signifies what NY is all about and the beliefs that the US is based
upon. What a beautiful reminder that we are all truly one----it's even more
amazing when we see that this art is teaching with love as opposed to teaching
through tragedy and destruction like 9/11 did.
Wow!

Mary, what a great story about the unknown beach artist. He did intrigue me,
too. I often wonder about souls who are "perceived" to be lost....who
knows, maybe he really has the answers that we're looking for...maybe he is just
being totally authentic to himself. Not being an artist myself, it's hard for me
to understand totally the visual images in the minds of artists, but I can
appreciate it because they bring such beauty to those of us who can only look.
I just hope the guy is happy..... see ya...Mary de

Mary,
I think the guy is an artist living on the fringe of society. Some people are
frightened by creativity -- walking by this guy and seeing how he lives and
creates reminds them about how they are probably not expressing themselves in
their own lives.
I'd like to see a closer view of the art he was making on the beach that day.
Thanks for sharing the story.

This guy is definitely living his life to the fullest! What better way to
spend your time than creating your art on the beach???!! He has the right idea,
and it's the rest of us struggling here to "make a living" who are
missing out. How sad that so many of us sit on the side lines, (myself
included), and think that our world is just made up going to work and getting a
pay check. We could all learn from this artist and many others like him who have
the courage to be themselves and follow their hearts/inspiration to where ever
it may take them.

Hi Mary,
Perhaps the police & others are on the fringe of society? Those artists
sound like they're following their hearts.
In many societies and a long time ago in our culture, everyone was an artist
and used their art to trade for other services.
Thems are my thoughts!

The Igniting sessions are incredible not only because we each create a work

Mary, This image touches me. The Penguin looks so tentative and vulnerable in
steppin' out. And yet, I also sense a certain confidence in looking out toward
its future, ready to step out into the vast unknown. Feeling the fear and doing
it anyway with an innocent trust that all will be fine. Leaving the cozy warmth
of what once felt like home and going toward what might appear a bleak looking
home. But the new home environment is actually more conducive to its native and
authentic nature. Step out little Penguin, step out. Swim. Skate. Glide. I feel
happy and almost giddy about this little penguin. She will be fine. Just fine.
I find it interesting that the last image that was posted, Come In, is
similar with yellow paper, the sun, and red sunrays. And yet, the messages are
opposite -- come in, steppin' out. Thank you for sharing this image with us.
