June 22, 2004

Dear Friends,

Lazy days are here again; at least we would like to think so.

Last time I wrote, I was off for Las Vegas to a spiritual conference. It was fabulous. All of the top-of-their-field's authors were there. They were so accessible and gracious. Wayne Dyer told me to hold the intention of getting his endorsement for my book, Igniting Your Intention. He said he loved the title. So, please hold the intention with me and it will happen!

My Painting II class at Manchester Community College this past semester has ended and I have a collection of triangle paintings at the college in the hallway. The exhibit will be up through December, so try to take some time and check them out. And then let me know what you thought.

So, what's up with you this summer? Will you have time to discover and uncover more about yourself? Here's what's going on this summer at Wisdom Painting and Art: Igniting Light, the 3-week session; Make Your Own Drum Workshop; and an Igniting Circle.

Check out my new and improved Cafeshops.com online store. It is bulging with new designs and products with something for everyone. Are you thinking of buying gifts or buying yourself something new? Go on over to my web store and buy my designs. The address is: www.cafeshops.com/wisdomart.

See you soon. Peace in love and light,
Mary Gravelle, The Intention Diva

My Art Wins THE Award

I was awarded the Hans Weiss Award this past semester for my paintings. Each year, three of the art professors at MCC choose one student whose work was the best. I am pleased and grateful that they thought my artwork was the best. In addition to a nice framed certificate, I received a sizable cash reward check. Thank you Rick, Susan, and Tim. <>

Wisdom Bit: Whatcha Doin' Down There?

I came home from Las Vegas with a broken foot. Speaking of down and out! Geesh, I thought I would be brimming with spiritual attunement and Divine inspiration for building my new life. But, no ….. instead, I was not to drive for four weeks. I am spending my time putting my foot up and contemplating that new life. But, alas, through it all, I have found an inner reserve of strength and an "Oh yeah? I can so do it! Attitude. If my inner saboteur wants to break my foot in hopes of keeping me down, well, let me tell it that it is NOT working. A lot can be accomplished even with a broken foot. Standing strong with inner power, I simply navigate a little differently. So, finally, after a year of false and fearful starts, I am leaping forward. Look out world, I'm coming atcha full force. <>

Special Event: Building Your Own Drum Workshop with Michael Meyer

I met Michael Meyer at a holistic breakfast in Vernon. One of his specialties is making drums. He attends Native American pow wows and has a natural ability for making drums in native tradition. I didn't know that I had a desire to make my own drum until we began to talk. Do any of you have a desire to make your own drum, beginning with the raw materials? If so, let me know. He is available for groups of 2-6 people. Let's do something different this summer -- make music from our very own hand crafted drum.
