About this drawing: Process (see message below)
July 11, 2003 - Igniting Your
Intention
Intention statement: Drawing helps teach me to see
life more clearly.
I did this Igniting session while taking a college summer
class: Drawing I.
My professor, Mr. Bodlak, told us of many artists that
believe to draw something is to know something and that it is
all about seeing. I will add to this that is also about feeling,
intuiting, and allowing -- or seeing with your 3rd eye.
My Igniting students and I have experienced the power of the
drawing process in helping to make the invisible visible. This
is true whether you are drawing from observation or from
feeling/intuition.
To draw from observation, you learn to see the subtle nuances
of the object, things you never saw or noticed before in the
visible tangible world.
In drawing by feeling or intuition, you simply get out of the
way and let the drawing come to you. You take your brain out and
let it sit beside you for awhile and let it observe how you can
draw without it! You begin to see subtle nuances of things in
the invisible intangible world.
To learn more about the Igniting process and how you can join
in the fun, see workshops:
Igniting Your Intention.

About this drawing: Message
Dance of the Midnight Sun
Looks American Indian - Cherokee [I have no idea why Cherokee],
very intriguing and mysterious.
Turquoise paper, blue scribbles then it asked for yellow -
green scribbles, then pale yellow, black formed the cape
feathers, red the bonnet, pink filled in as well as purple.
Dance of the Midnight Sun - Blue Moon is my name. The next
full moon is yours.
Dance to the midnight sun and realize your dreams come true.
Dance, beat the drums to your delight. Let the mystery unfold,
untold, feel its beguiling call. Silently listen to its call -
heed the messages from the ancients. Come into your own - all
grown.

Looking at this image again, I see how the Being in this drawing
is harnessing the power of the cosmos and the moon. Gathering,
letting it come, attracting, holding, containing, coming into
full power.

For the viewer:
The next full moon is Tuesday, August 12. Make it your own
and dance to its call as Midnight Sun--Blue Moon suggests. Does
anyone know if this is the Blue Moon coming up?
August 11, 2003: Thank you to
Robin McNeely for sending me this link for information on the
Blue Moon: http://www.infoplease.com/spot/bluemoon1.html
When the Blue Moon occurs is controversial, but according to one
of the versions, it appears that the next one will occur
in July of 2004. There are and were no Blue Moons in 2003. To
find out more about the Blue Moon, click into the link that is
supplied here. There is a calendar of the 2001 Blue Moons. I
plan to look back at my 2001 Igniting sessions and see where I
was on November 30, 2001, the last appearance of the Blue Moon.
