This painting (24" x 36") came into being the evening of Day 3 of my Level II Igniting Intention experience July, 2003. My intention statement eventually evolved into "I thrive while being visible in my life," but at the time it talked about handling my fears of being visible.
Earlier in the day my daily page, named
"Pleasuring," indicated that "There's more to me;
you'll have to come back." Not anticipating a whole other
piece, I expected to return for further dialog. However, at
Mary's open painting time that evening the midnight blue and
black tempera painting with pearlescent splashes emerged stating
its name and message:
"PLEASURE."
NAME: Pleasure
MESSAGE: Pleasure in your
Life. I rise to the level of Pleasure. I sink into the pleasure
of
Being in My LIFE. You take great delight in me. That is good and
feels good.
My pearls create dancing joy.
Simple pleasure that reaches down into the core of you,
opening you up to
L I F E. THRIVE. Go for it!
Remember the saying, "If it's good for you, it's good for the universe!"
Artist Bio:
Since 2001 Nancy Brockett has created artwork of intense,
vibrant colors which both express and evoke inarticulate
emotions. The pieces, varying in size from greeting cards to
24" x 36", reflect inspiration, transformation and
healing effected in life through art, therapy and prayer.
