Title: Rest Assuredly
ArtistMary Gravelle
Media
: Crayon on paper, 8 1/2" x 11"

Created on September 29, 2003
Day 17 of Igniting Your Intention Session

Intention statement: I keep my heart centered inside my body.

About this drawing:

Breakthrough Drawing for me

Purple paper, white figure 8's scribbled over page, green triangle, orange circle center, yellow, red, white center in orange. This image is striking. I have no idea what it is -- it is way different from any drawing I have done. The triangle could stand for centered, grounded foundation. The orange could be my center & red and yellow could be my heart centered inside it all. The triangle could be me, my body, my existence, supporting strongly, firmly, keeping and protecting my heart. The white scribble could be the cosmos or the chaos from outside myself. I remain calmly centered through it all.

Drawing's name: Rest Assuredly, standing tall, surefooted with grace.

Message: Just rest and standing upright and tall in your glory. You are calm, centered when you take the time to be so. Everything else flows outward in grace and eases your journey. So, take the time to calmly center yourself everyday. Then the entire day will come to you with grace and ease. GRACE and EASE, my darling.

Thank you, drawing.

Reading, Writing and Thoughts for the day:

Reading from Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach: Self-nurturing on the job. "When we truly care for ourselves, it becomes possible to care far more profoundly about other people. The more alert and sensitive we are to our own needs, the more loving and generous we can be toward others." -- Eda LeShan

I am alert and sensitive to my own needs.

-- Spend 10 minutes each morning quietly, thoughtfully reviewing what needs to be done.

-- Spend 10 minutes at the end of the day (workday) quietly straightening the piles on your desk, looking over tomorrow's agenda. This can help bring an orderly closure to my day before I shift gears.

Reading from Faith to Faith Daily Devotional by Ken & Gloria Copeland:
"Dare to Decide"
"God can do everything for you but decide. He's provided the power. He's provided His Name. He's provided the blood of Jesus. He's provided the kingdom of god. He's even made us partakers of it (Colossians 1:12)

Colossians 1:11-12 -- "We are praying, too, that you will be filled with his mighty, glorious strength so that you can keep going no matter what happens -- always full of the joy of the Lord, and always thankful to the Father who has made us fit to share all the wonderful things that belong to those who live in the kingdom of light.

26 -- the secret -- that Christ in your hearts is the only hope of glory.

29--this is my work, and I can do it only because Christ's mighty energy is at work within me.

When you make that decision, God will back you to the hilt with His power. Once you make the decision to be born again, there's no devil in hell big enough to stop you. All you have to do is decide.

Decide now. Declare your decision. Let it be done unto you according to your words.

**Is God leading you in some new direction? Is He leading you to step out in faith for healing or prosperity or to take a whole new step of ministry? Don't let fear hold you back. "** (** are mine because this seemed so timely and appropriate for me now.)

Mary, I have a book called "The Herder Dictionary of Symbols" which you either need to go buy at Borders/Barnes & Noble or I will lend mine to you. It is a dictionary of symbols from art, archeology mythology, literature and religion. In the book, there is a symbol of a triangle with a circle in the middle- it looks almost exactly like what you have drawn - it has also come up frequently in some of my own artwork. It is a VERY major symbol & usually signifies a major shift in understanding/awakening. Do you have your wallet nearby? Pull out a one dollar bill. Look on the BACK of the one dollar bill on the LEFT side. see your pyramid with the eye? This is what the govt. has to say about it:

"In the zenith of an unfinished pyramid on the reverse side of the Great Seal is "an Eye in a triangle, surrounded with a glory... Over the Eye these words 'Annuit Coeptis'. This Latin phrase has been traced to Virgil, the renowned Roman poet who lived in the first century B.C. His epic masterpiece, the Aeneid, contains the sentence: "Jupiter omnipotens, audacibus annue coeptis." (All-powerful Jupiter, favor [my] daring undertakings.) Also, in Virgil's Georgics is: "Da facilem cursum, atque audacibus annue coeptis." (Give [me] an easy course, and favor [my] daring undertakings.) Charles Thomson changed the imperative annue to annuit, the third person form of this verb meaning to favor or approve (in either the present tense or the present perfect tense). Coeptis means undertakings or endeavors. In the motto Annuit Coeptis, the subject of the verb must be supplied, (and the translator must also choose the tense). Thomson explained: "The pyramid signifies Strength and Duration: the Eye over it & the Motto allude to the many signal interpositions of providence in favour of the American cause." The Eye is therefore the missing subject, and the motto translates as: "It (the eye of Providence) is favorable to our undertakings." Or, as it is now translated by the U.S. State Department:
"He (God) has favored our undertakings."

In my "Herder Dictionary of Symbols" the definition of the triangle with the eye in the center reads as follows:

"Triangle: the eye in the triangle is a symbol of god. The triangle is symbolically associated with the number three. (also associated with the holy trinity). In antiquity it was variously understood as a light symbol. With the apex pointing upward it is a common symbol of fire and masculine virility; with the apex pointing downward it is a symbol of water and the female sex. The equilateral triangle is often used as a sign of god or harmony. In Christianity it is a trinity symbol, (often, especially since the 17th century, in conjunction with the hand, head and eye; or the Hebrew name of God Yahweh.) In folk usage, the three was an apotropaic sign among magicians and magges - For the Freemasons (among others) the three symbolizes the strength, beauty, and wisdom of God; the cornerstone of the Freemason's temple... the three levels of spiritual development.

You should research some more about this symbol it is really fascinating.

best,

Sara

THE END.
