Title:
Playing with
Energy
Artist:
by Mary A.
Gravelle
Size/Medium:
8 1/2" x 11", Crayon
About this Drawing:
One day recently, as I was copying files to a new data port,
I happened upon this image. I was stunned at what I saw since
the date on it told me when I had drawn it -- in 1999. Gosh,
this seems like eons ago.
What stunned me was that this was before I was aware of what
the concept of energy was. And here, in my drawing, was an
obvious Being playing with energy. Or is it fire? Hmm ....
playing with fire? Well, I prefer to think that this Being is
playing with energy. Maybe this Being is demonstrating how to
play with the energy between my hands.
Seeing this drawing again urges me to dig up my writing from
this image. I'm a little disorganized right now, but will make
an effort to do that (sorry I didn't do it in time for this
posting.)
Amy Sax Luke posted a comment on this
drawing that seemed to sum it all up:
"It feels as if this is a flower person made of peaceful
blue and joyous pinks and outlined in black to protect the
loving energy it holds within. The flower person is holding the
creative energy in between its' two hands. Practicing with the
energy, feeling the energy, molding positive, healthy energy
between its' hands. And the lines of energy coming out of and
all around the flower person are healthy green and peaceful
blue. It affects everything around it in a healing way. Thank
you God for this flower person."
Thank you, Amy, for your comments and insight into this
drawing.
