Title:
Untitled
Artist:
Mary
Gravelle
Size/Medium:
Oil on Masonite, 16" x 20"
About This Painting:
An experiment in glazing, I collected several photos from
various trips, selecting parts of each photo. The house in the
background is a cottage on Antelope Island (not really sure of
the name) in Utah. The character sitting on the left is a statue
at Hoover dam. The character on the right is actually a huge
tree sitting in front of the cottage. The boat in the center is
from Aruba.
I liked all of these images and didn't know how they would
all react juxtaposed against each other. The image is still
settling with me and I have no title for it. What do you think?
Does the combined image speak to you?

About Giclee Prints:
Giclee (jhee-clay) - Derived from the French verb gicler
meaning to spray. A giclee is a high-resolution digital print
and is a recognized fine art print category like lithographs and
serigraphs. Giclee is considered the world's best technique for
reproducing original works of art. Giclee prints look and feel
like original art. Prints are made on archival artist material
such as watercolor papers and canvas. Using Ultra Chrome inks
provides stability. You can expect fade and color-shift
resistance of 90 years under average indoor light conditions.
